Founder & CTO, Flash — 2023 to present

Flash is a regulated Bitcoin and stablecoin payments platform for the Caribbean: a consumer app, merchant tools, and the fiat on- and off-ramps behind them — 5,800+ registered users, merchants across Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, and interoperability with 27,500+ Lightning merchants worldwide — six-figure USD volume moved through the platform. I architected all of it and built the team that runs it — twelve engineers at peak, deliberately rightsized to three contractors working alongside a fleet of AI agents.

The full platform, end to end: React Native mobile app, GraphQL federation API, Lightning and USDT stablecoin rails, and an ERP-based banking core with automated FX pricing and reconciliation.
A zero-loss migration of customer funds onto stablecoin rails — staged tooling, dual-ledger reconciliation, nothing lost.
AI-native operations: container-isolated agents monitor payment flows in production — they've caught real defects before customers felt them — triage support, and verify deploys.
The unglamorous parts done properly: AML/KYC controls, recurring security audits, credential rotation, supply-chain gating, and 99.9%+ measured availability.
All of it shipped on a pre-seed budget, by keeping the team small and the tooling sharp.
